StealthyBlagga
WHERE: Rio Salado Sportsman's Club, Mesa, AZ WHEN: Sunday August 31st 2014, 7am start. RULES: Tuesday Night Steel rules & scoring (Straight Time + Penalties). DETAILS: 3-person teams Each team may have only one Open Division shooter – the other two members must shoot Limited, L10, Single Stack, Production, or Revolver. Each team may have only one Grand Master-class team member – the other two team members must be M, A, B, C, D or U-class for the division they are shooting. If you are a Grand Master and want to shoot with your buddy who is also a Grand Master, one of you needs to switch to a division for which you are not classified as a Grand Master. If in doubt, consult a Match Director. Teams may be formed ahead of time, or scratch teams can be formed on the day. If you don’t have a team, we can put you in one when you sign-up. Everyone will get to shoot. If a shooter quits or DQs, the rest of the team may attempt to complete the stage and match as best they can. No alternates or substitutes after starting the first stage. Entry fee: $45 per team (i.e. $15 per shooter). No pre-entry required… Just turn up and shoot! STAGES: There will be four (4) pistol-only stages with falling steel and/or breakable targets.. Shoot each stage as a team at the same time (either concurrently or “relay-race” style, per written stage briefing). For safety reasons, all shooting positions will be static. Time to complete the stage will be the team’s time; one score sheet per team. There will be multiple ways to approach each stage – team strategy and communication on the clock will be important! StealthyBlagga
Do we need to be USPSA members to participate? NO, membership is not necessary - this is not a USPSA event. However, folks who have never shot any action pistol match should not make this their first rodeo. Is it your TNS classification or USPSA classification? TNS if you have one, otherwise use your USPSA classification (or Unclassified if you have neither). The point of this rule is simply to discourage the formation of "dream teams" of top shooters, with the hope that less proficient shooters will have a chance to team up and interact with the top dogs. This event is intended to be fun, with only bragging rights up for grabs, so we will be relying on the honor system.
