D.Hayden
To start 3Gun woth my Mini-14, I bought the Simmons 1.5-5x20 ProDiamond scope. I may be over thinking this, but after chroning my rounds, and using the software to calculate the trajectory tables, I'm looking for a fast way to apply the tables out at 300-500 yards. What I'm hoping someone has found or mapped out, how big the diamond equates to at different ranges. I read a few posts about zeroing at 100, the bottom of the diamond, is right on at three hundred. With that setup, is the top of the diamond used for zero? at 400-500, what would 1x the height of the diamond equal in inches (to calculate holdover)? It would be really cool to know, how big the diamond covers every 50 yards, to do these calculations quickly. Thanks, Dave
benny hill
With a 50 yd. zero, the bottom of the diamond is dead on at 500 yd.
D.Hayden
Thanks Benny, with what weight/speed bullet does that work out for you? For my 55's @ 2850, that works out to be a 74" holdover?
kschwan
Benny, I just added one the same scope to my rifle today. Am I correct to assume that you zero at 50yrds?
davecutts
I love mine and I zero at 50.

D.Hayden
Dave, do you get the same result as Benny? Bottom of the Diamond = 500Yds, or anything different? What kind of Bullet weight/fps?
benny hill
I use only 55 gr. nosler blistic tip for long range.
