mike g35
Well I just took the plunge and I bought a CZ-75 SP01 Shadow custom (2014). Now I'm looking into what I'll need to get this gun ready for competition. I've got the holster, belt and pouches figured out but I'm interested to hear your opinions on what mags or mag / baseplate combos you guys prefer. Are you running standard SP01 mags? Or something else? Any advice would be highly appreciated.
StraightUp_OG
I am using factory mags with Springer Precision base pads. http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=251&categoryId=42 It just runs. Not sure what else to say...
jc3257
Http://gregcotellc.com Mec-Gar mags. Half the price of factory mags and have a really slick finish so they drop easy. Vanniek71
+1 for the Cote Mec-Gar mags. I have factory and Mec-Gars and they all work great. No aftermarket basepads yet, but looking in to the Springers.
razorfish
Make +2 for Mec-Gar magazines. There's no better place to get them then Greg Cote. No nonsense and consistent performance for $25 a mag. Eventually you will want base pads so why waste money on factory mags? You'll want the 17 rounders for the SP01 Shadow. Here's a link. http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=97_130&products_id=

magpulled
I like the cz nickel mags and got the Stoeger aluminum base pads too. They make an awesome combo.
StraightUp_OG
The gun just runs too. Those kids at CZC know how to put them together. I have the 2013 and it goes and goes. Indeed the Mecs are cheaper and that is great. I am just a purist and if there is no compelling performance reason I don't mind spending the extra bucks on factory. Plus I supported my local businesses buy buying them here in town.

jonb.
So what the heck are they referring to when they say pre B. I have a feeling I'm ignorant in something here and need to be learned HAHAHAHA thanks in advance I'm new to this whole CZ world.

I have a feeling I'm ignorant in something here and need to be learned HAHAHAHA thanks in advance I'm new to this whole CZ world. Before the CZ-75b there was simply a CZ-75. These are the mags you will want for your CZ-75 Shadow: http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=97_130&products_id=591 I suppose you have a really old CZ-75 these mags won't work, but your Shadow should love them. CDPMatt
The nickel mags drop free way better than any of the other mags I've tried. The SP01 and mec gar 16rd mags rust and the AFC mags get dust, pro grip, etc on them and lock in the gun. CDPMatt
Nope. For some reason I rust things when I touch them. The sp01's were the worst.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
