lucas
I bought a 21" M1 field barrel for my M90 18.5" Benelli , which will require to be fitted to my forearm and, since i already seem to do well with the shorter barrel i question if i really need the longer barrel as is always recommended .Other than the 8 rd mag tube being 1.58" longer than my barrel with my briley clays choke what other reason is there? BigDave
The sights. Please elaborate. Are you infavor of the rifle type sights of the shorter barrel, or the vent rib of the 21"?

The bead (I prefer fiber optic) of the VR. I had the ghost ring-sighted Tactical M1S90 for a while and while those sights were great for slugs, they were slow as hell on transitions. IMO since most of the shotgun stuff that we're doing is steel plates at relatively close ranges, a bead/VR with a flip-up rear sight (for slug-work) is the optimum setup. benny hill
I think the v.r. barrel is a little faster on sight aquireing& indexing target to target.
