I've had very good results so far using a BBI 125 grain bullet in my 38 super comp open gun. A little led build up in the comp after 500 rounds but nothing too bad. Shoots flat and just as accurate as my normal Montana gold 124 grain load. Just wanted to share my results in case some of you guys are on the fence about using coated bullets in an open gun.i haven't had a chance to chrono yet but here are the stats,

Load-

125 grain bbi

9.7 grains 3n38

1.240 oal

armscor brass

Gun-

Freedom Gunworks full size 38 supercomp open gun

Schueman ultimatch barrel

2 popple holes and a cheely comp

I use ibejihead coated bullets in my open gun. They have been working great. Little bit of leading in the comp, but nothing bad. They run very fast. .

7.9 HS6 with a 124 Ibejihead Is getting me 169pf, 8.3HS6 is 179pf

with a MG 121, 8.6 HS6 is at 169pf

Do you only use the coated bullets or do you switch between jacketed? So far I've just been using them for practice and shooting the Montana golds at matches but that might change since Montana gold has a 1000 round limit per order now.
