StealthyBlagga
About the only powders anyone seems to have routinely on the shelf are those designed for 50BMG applications (e.g. Hodgdon 50BMG). Has anyone tried these (presumably glacially slow) powders in any other cartridges? I'm interested in regular pistol calibers - 9mm, 40S&W, 45ACP. Kind of a long shot, I know, but desperate times call for desperate measures

56hawk
I looked on Hodgdon's website and they list loads for the Ultra Mags and big Weatherby rounds. Probably not much help to you though.

BSeevers
I am in the process of converting my Open gun to 50 BMG. The 9 rd capacity will be an issue but no more powder problems

AdvocatusDiaboli
117 grains in my 30-378. Best powder, accuracy wise for my rifle, and I've tried H1000 and US869.
nitrohuck
50 BMG powder gives many people great results with cast bullets in .30cal cartridges, most people just fill the case right on up, as you can't possibly create an over pressure situation I've even used 20mm powder in my K31 Swiss
