BigDave
I just picked up The Rev. Horton Heat's CD 'Holly Roller' Don't let the name fool you, this isn't religous music, but rather deep Texas swing rock-a-billy at its best. The songs are short, most are fast, and I find them hilarious. With titles like "Bales of Cocaine", "Where the hell did you go with my toothbrush?" and "Its Martini Time" (which is X103's Friday night weekend kicker song) His most recent CD is titled 'Spend a Night in the Box' (I don't think I need to tell you all where that title came frome), one track on that CD is titled "I gonna sue Jack Daniels". Hilarious! Anyway, for what its worth. It is by no means as deep or powerful as Tool (but then again, what is?), but I find it entertaining, nonetheless. benos
BigDave, I've been to see the Reverand, right here at Alice Cooper's town in Phx. He's a pretty kookie cat. Ghost Cat's favorite is "Liquor in the Front." be
Kiki
If you like Horton, you should try the Meteor's, "Live, Leary, and F%@#ing Loud!". But of course, not as cool as Tool.
Paul Sharp
The Reverend makes some of the best music around. Its perfect mood music for so many things. Having a bad day, how about some highly caffeinated rock-a-billy? Need to workout? Ditto, With Tool I tend to analyze, with the Rev I just have some fun.
