cz75ipsc
I'm looking for ideas on how to mark (ie number) my cz shadow magazines. I'm shooting ipsc in production division, so no grip tape for me. Thanks for the ideas (and hopefully pics or links)!
okorpheus
I don't shoot a CZ, but I mark the basepad of my mags using a silver or gold collored sharpie marker Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Sarge
Yep Silver sharpie or better yet a paint pen from the craft store.

ZackJones
My very low tech solution - we used our label maker.
Steve RA
Find someone who engraves trophies and get them engraved. With initials, numbers or whatever you want., Brevity is less expensive.
cz75ipsc
Neat ideas, I never would have thought to have them engraved but it's what I'll probably go for. Thanks!
22 shooter
I used a dremel tool with a sharp pointed bit.
fyresq
Paint markers. I also use different colors on my Glock 9mm and .40 mags to make easier to tell the difference at a glance.
bthunter019
I use a label maker and then put the numbers above the base pad on back of mag
Blankenhole
Find someone who engraves trophies and get them engraved. With initials, numbers or whatever you want., Brevity is less expensive. Local trophy shop did mine with no problem, was pretty cheap too
Rhodie
I just picked these up from my local trophy shop. $6 each and a day turnaround.
BungeeeMan
Trophy shops are good, otherwise find a friend with a laser engraver and offer to bring the beer.
Craig N
I got a whole set of paint markers. Red Black White Blue and Green........I don't know how I lived for 40 years without them!
Gooldylocks
I have grip tape on the bottom of my magazines, so I cut numbers out of them. Looks pretty decent, and gives you the benefit of grip tape on your base pads (if you like that)
RePete
I picked up a 1/2" stencil and use an electric pencil to number my mags. The markings are a little faint, but visible. SS is very hard. My Glock mags were marked on the basepad.
praff
I used gold fingernail polish on my ss mag bases. Just put dots on em. 1 dot up to 6 dots. Gets kinda tough after 6 because u start running outta space
jerson0208
I use a labeler sticker.

ctay
Helps identifying problem mags, helps make sure your mag gets back to you, looks cool. And other stuff.
sarge450
Have always used a Silver Sharpie, but like some of the ideas you guys have posted.
BeerBaron
I don't understand why is their a need to mark your mags it's actually very useful. you need to identify any problems and know which mag it is. it also allows you to 'life' you mags. so you don't use the same mag over and over as mag 1 while the others get used only rarely. identifies which are your mags (can be tough when 5 others in your squad have the same mags). that's about it. but it's very worthwhile. zhuk
Paint markers, I just put one dot on the base of each of my 6 mags, different colours on my two rearward 'loading' mags. Same pens used to mark bases of my cases so (I live in hope!) get most of my brass back lol Edited April 4, 2014 by zhuk

Sarge
I don't understand why is their a need to mark your mags Wasn't a big deal when I had $30 Glock mags to worry about other than to keep track of usage and to know if one had problems. But Once I started using $150-$200 mags it became more important to make sure I left the range with the same amount I brought to the range.
