Mjaggard
Does anyone know how to modify the bolt on a Benelli M2 to allow ghost loading of a forth shell?
gondo
Ha ghost loading, Kurtm will be all over this wording. You cut a notch out of the bottom of the bolt, better yet you send it to accurate iron.
Mufasa
As I understand it there are two ways of doing the "ghost load" modification. On the M2 bolt carrier group there are two notches on the bottom, the rear most one near the "tail" is the one that is to be altered. One method is to use a tig welder and fill in the notch; this requires skill and a welder I don't possess so I went for option two. That is to gently file/dremel the rear most edge of the rear notch. Just do a little at a time and recheck if it now allows the ghost load. I can't remember what exactly happens if you take off to much beyond it being undesirable. I have a level of mechanical/DIY ineptitude that is almost without rival so if I can do it almost anyone can.
