Brass Issue

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else having issues with brass that has this head stamp? It is stamped FC and 98. For some reason every piece is hard to deprime and does not want to reprime. After 10 of these I just started to throw them in a coffee can for recycling. Forgot to mention I'm using a Dillon 650.

In your picture the crimp is most visible right at the FC stamp. I recently prepped 500 rounds of Winchester NATO 9mm brass and it wasn't that big of a chore if you can tolerate mindless tasks whilst sitting on the sofa. Old towel across the lap and and a case chamfering tool. It goes fairly quickly.

some don't have date stamps though and just have the maker stamp and the little cross hairs looking mark (the mark on the brass pic above that is not FC and not 98). basically all mil brass will have that little stamp.

we get a lot of processed wcc mil brass here. once it's been processed the first time and had the crimp removed PROPERLY then it's good to reload over and over.
