Bigpops
Need a little help here. This may be an issue, may not...I dont know. I have a brand new CZ75B and a brand new Kadet 22 upper for my son. Once the Kadet is installed I lose DA feature of the trigger. Is this normal? Thanks in advance! JP221
Definitely not normal. Double and single action should work the same. Is the Kadet kit tough to install or is there resistance when you slide the kit on the frame?
Bigpops
There is a little resistance. It slides on a little tight, then I have to manipulate the outter part of the slide to get the holes to line up. All in all it is not that tough though. kfd147
Your Kadet is pressing down on the trigger bar and preventing the disconnector from pushing the hammer back. See if you can't smooth out the sides of the barrel where the slide release goes through to narrow it and make it easier to fit in the frame. Bigpops
Jason - have you experienced this before? Your idea sounds legit. I'll look at it after work today. Thank you! I just got off the phone with CZ USA and they are stumped.
kfd147
I work on CZ pistols and the problem you described is what happens when you press the trigger bar down while pulling the trigger. It disengages the bar from the disconnector and prevents the hammer from being pushed back. Trimming or shaving the sides of the lower lug of the 22 barrel makes it fit easier and puts the grooves on the bottom side of the slide in propper alignment with the trigger bar to make it contact the disconnector properly.
