iswope
I spray the hell out of mine with Ballistol. Use it for cleaning and lubrication.

thermobollocks
I've used both CLP and Froglube. CLP makes it run, but Froglube makes it run longer.
suesstech
CLP for me. Does the trick.

JohnLTD
I like the Brownells Friction Defense sample packs that I keep getting at matches. Works well and haven't had to pay for it yet!

Nickoli
I like the Frog as well. I have had some issues with it when it gets cold out up here like it has been this winter. Doesn't go to battery all the way on the first shot but once she warms up, its butter. I use it on my carry/competition pistol, and I used to use it on my shotgun, but after holding on target and waiting for the bolt to go back home after a shot, I decided to get something that works in cold temps. I might switch back to the Frog once it warms up around here but until then the shotty gets Milltek-1.
amccallister
Shell Rotella T, 5W/40 Synthetic motor oil and Slip 2k. Mobil 1 full synthetic. Who do you think has spent more money on research- oil companies or some small snake oil seller?
TitoR
Fireclean, slick and makes cleaning a breeze
Ranger6
Here's another vote for Mobil 1 (5W/40) Every AR I have owned seems to love it. Used for last 3 years; still have 1/2 quart left. Ranger6
BobS761
I like Rotella T with a dab of STP mixed in.

Durtywrench
I spit on it and call it a dirty AR
LoganbillJ
Tried a lot of different lubes. I have settled on Masters OGS-3. Slick and cleaning is a breeze. I now use it on all 3 guns.
JP221
Mobil 1 full synthetic. Who do you think has spent more money on research- oil companies or some small snake oil seller? I agree completely. I have used Mobil 1 full synthetic exclusively for 8 years with no issues. I figured if it works in a formula one engine it will work in my handguns and rifles. BillD
I've seen Pat Rodgers lube up an AR that wouldn't run because it was dry with Vagisil. And it worked. Point being, just about any lube will work, you just have to apply enough.
co-exprs
AR's need a lubrication designed to take extreme heat. Most gun oils are really designed to prevent corrosion, while motor oil is designed to really take a pounding. I use full synthetic motor oil in my ARs and they not only stay wet longer, but are easier to clean up afterwards.
flyingrhino
STP oil additive on the bolt.
