Shadow safety inop

So I have a SP01 shadow custom with the SRT and the safety is inop at times. In SA the lever will always go up into position but sometimes I can pull the trigger and make the hammer fall. Sometimes it will fall the 1st time the trigger is pulled, other times times I need to pull the trigger a few times to make the hammer fall. Do I just need a new safety or is there probably something else going on here?

A new sear may fix the problem, if not then a new left side safety may be required.

This usually happens when a comp hammer is installed incorrectly and too much material is taken off the safety leg of the sear, or material removed from the safety pad that rolls under the sear leg. Hope this helps.

So replace the sear with a Cajun gun works sear?

That will do it. Make sure you locktite the screw.

either would probably work. I dont use the adjustable sear. i have an aversion to adding small screws into the action of my pistol. have seen too many things move at the wrong time. heck, I dont even use the overtravel screw in my 85C trigger.
