nhjeffs Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 I'm new to the 1911 platform. I've always used M&P's in the past. I recently started using an STI Spartan in 9mm. I want to get a magwell for it but I'm not sure what I need. STI's small parts page shows magwells and magwells with main spring housing. Butterpuc Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 Look at Techgear's Techwell. It doesn't require a new mainspring housing, but it does require you use their grips. The grips hold the magwell on. Most people change their grips anyway. I have heard of others modifying their existing grips to accept the magwell, but that looks like to much work to me.
