Lockspur Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 I've gone through several sight combinations over the years, with XD's and 1911's, and the one that works for me is 10-8 Performance rear with XS standard dot front on my 1911's. Since then I've been trying to find a similar combo for my XD's. 10-8 doesn't make sights for XD's…so I've narrowed it down to a few candidates. But due to the lack of info on the web, I seek answers here. Heinie ledge rear sight. Warren Tactical rear sight. Dawson tritium front sight. XS front sight. Measures .260 from top to bottom of the dovetail. That's all XS would tell me. The Trijicon HD kit would be perfect for me if the front was white (not orange or yellow) and the rear was solid black. OK. With all that said. Will any of those fronts work with any of those rears? Or does anyone know Hilton Yam and get him to make an XD rear?
