kellymc
Picked one of these up today. It wasn't my first choice but thought I would use the same scope as my daughter. I don't think they get much cheaper
co-exprs
Nothing wrong with that deal. Nice grab!
Jesse Tischauser
Tac30 is the heat for a new 3 gunner. Edited February 9, 2014 by Jesse Tischauser
practical_man
And $100 cheaper than I paid for mine a few years ago. Great!
thermobollocks
Is the difference between this and the MTAC just the turrets?
Jesse Tischauser
I couldn't justify the extra cuts of the MTAC. The reason your considering a Tac30 is because of cost so why waist the $100 for the MTAC unless it does something considerably different. MarkCO
The Tac30 adjusts power by rotation of the whole ocular. Mechanically, it is not as strong, however i don;t know of anyone breaking one and Burris has a forever warranty. The Tac30 has pushbutton illumination. You have to scroll through to change intensity. It does have an auto-off feature. The MTAC has a power ring and a off position in between each setting on the illumination dial and the high setting is brighter. Other than that, they are the same optic. For 3Gun, illumination is not that big of a deal. Some people prefer the Tac30 over the MTAC.
mjk0311
I was using one of these for a while. The optic itself is great, but I always had trouble trying to turn it on and off during stages. I felt like I was wasting everyone's time.
thermobollocks
No more so than the Open guys who have to turn off 3 C-mores.
