nmcferro
I ended up using the 9 lb spring, it felt good and ran great. I am in love with my Steelmaster!
Nimitz
Anyone know what the weight of the spring is in the stock gun from the factory?
nmcferro
It is the STI recoil master light, but not sure of the spring weight. You might call STI?
Heckler
If you swap out the recoil master does it use a standard length guide rod with the same reverse plug?

mwc5
Yesterday I tested std type recoil springs w full length guide rod (STI) compared to the light recoil master that came in the gun & that I've been shooting: 124 gr Freedom Munitions (new) 7 lb (Shooters Conn) - feels almost identical to the light RM 8 lb - feels slower than the 7 lb or the light RM, lazy ejection 9 lb - experienced 50% Stovepipes Result for me - back to the stock light recoil master.
