sk330lc
Picked up a new 9mm M&P Pro. looking for a starting point for IDPA loads 130ish PF using Montana Gold 124gr CMJ. I have WSF , HP-38, Titegroup and AA.NO.7. Wish I had other powders but this is what I have to work with. Just kinda looking to see where others have started yo develops loads. Any help would be great. Thanks
toddje
Well, 4.2gr Titegroup under a 124gr Zero bullet gives me about 135PF out of a Glock 17 - 1.150" OAL, CCI SPP, 1093 Avg, SD=11. I'd try 4.0 or 4.1 and see what you get with your longer barrel, but TG will definitely get you to (minor) PF. Other than being sooty, Titegroup will serve you well. ranger
I am a fan of WSF and 9mm. I am using 4.8 WSF with a 124 Bayou Bullet. I tried lower than that but the M&P PRO with stock recoil spring seemed sluggish - if you go too low (and still make the PF), you may have to change recoil springs. barneyb
I use 3.9 gr of Titegroup with a 124 grn MG @1.16" out of a 5" KKM barrel to get a PF of 132.8.

truborshooter
thanks for the test data, I'll try some of them and let you know how they did one thing I noticed with my 5" pro core is a shorter leade than my 9mm 1911s 1.130 was the longest I could set up a 124 MG JHP in my new single dot 1/10 barreled M&P my 1911s would eat 1.170 without a problem in STI barrels and Storm Lake. so, be careful is subsituting FMJ, CMJ and JHP
