Versa Max 18" Barrel?

I want to swap out the 28" barrel on my synthetic VersaMax 12ga, for a 18" barrel. Would like to have remchoke capability too.

I figure I will have to keep an eye out for a 26 or 28" barrel, then have it smithed. Still cheaper than buying two shotguns I am guessing... I had the versa tactical and the action is so good. Just too long for home defense. I dont do three gun.

Anyone done this? Anywhere to buy one made already?

Searched here and calguns with no luck.
