Onepocket
Anyone use these in a glock with light springs? Which ones work better rifle or pistol? Yes I did a search but could not find glocks with a lighter spring kit. Thanks.
Sarge
I ran them in my race G34. Small Pistol. SR's would be too hard for me to risk it with a light set up.
G17
Definately small pistol. If you use them though i would recommend having a light/extended striker. I had very bad luck trying to use the reduced striker spring/ stock striker with Tula factory ammo. Haven't fired them since i put the Jager striker in but i would imagine it would help. Tula is known to generally be pretty hard, and i would imagine SRP is going to be even harder. If you have the right set up you'll probably be allright though. Onepocket
I have a Jäger striker and use the wolf comp spring kit. After I get them I will update this thread and let everyone know how it works out. I can always put the factory springs back in. THE PRICE IS RIGHT. captain037
Same here, I run factory springs with Tula. I hand seat all primers on a lee hand primer and that step really seems to help ignite them. I figure that's the price of business when you have to make do. Onepocket
I have heard that seating them deep as possible helps. It's easy enough to change springs around in a glock.
frankge
Has same issue even with zev extended tip striker and 4# spring. The SPM were the worst. Put them in my .40 loads for both STIs and they go off 100%
Prag
The above seems to be the trend. I put an extra power spring in my G 17 and G19 to get reliable ignition. Works for me. I never had any ignition problems using Wolf Mag SPP in 9mm though...but 1-2 /100 with Standard Tula SPP.
jboyd103
I have shot several hundred rounds of Tulammo SPP in their factory loaded ammo as well as my hand loads with ZERO fail to fire. My Glock 34 is running a 14lb wolff recoil spring with a lighter striker spring...think its 4 lbs (whatever came in the wolff kit anyway) I may be lucky, but I can't see a difference between the CCI SPP and Tula SPP. I will say this....My next match I will load all CCI SPP's and save the Tula for practice. I just don't know if I can trust them enough so far. dfwbiofuels
I loaded a batch of mixed 9mm brass with some Tula KVB-9. Several wouldn't fire in my stock G19. I noticed that the strikes on the primers appeared to be very shallow. I wonder if I either need a heavier striker spring or a longer striker tip. I'm hoping someone has found a solution. Onepocket
I use a jäger striker and a wolf competition spring kit and they always go pop. I would not use the wolf competition kit in a carry gun. I don't know what press you load on but you need to make sure the primers are seated as deep as possible. Last but not least when you clean and re oil your gun make sure no oil gets on the striker group. It needs to be dry. Hope this helps. littlehendrick
I have shot roughly 4k of Tula SPPs with two different glocks (19 and 34). Never had an issue with the glockworkz spring kit and a OEM striker. I did however get light strikes/FTF on factory Tula ammo. I switched back to a stock striker spring in the 19 to avoid any issues since it eats both factory and hand loads.
redial
Not small primers but last week I had a Tula LP fire on the third hit from my Glock 20. Never had that happen before and this is the first batch loaded with the Tulas. Mark
MoonJeong
Tula are great here is what you need to do to make 100% reliable AND use light springs http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=192491
