mdschappell
I am new to the CZ platform and have a TS on the way. I see pictures of the Czechmate grips and magwell, but cannot find anywhere where these parts are available for purchase. Can the same magwell and grips that are on the Czechmate be purchased and will they fit on the TS?
Czhase
The grips and mag well will fit a TS, but they are tuff to find in the USA. CZ USA has some of the full length grips that could be trimmed to fit the TS. Edited January 30, 2014 by Czhase
MarkMcArthur
The magwel will be hard to find. I have one on my TS. The grips are just a compact grip.

I tried some compact grips once and they came up a little short.
MarkMcArthur
Yes. If you use the old style magwel they take the short grips. If you use the new CZ Custom they take the medium grips. I have compact diamondbacks on my Tac Sport. Had to sand the bottom of the grips a bit but wasn't bad. I like the old style better because I like to run the stock mags when I can. Czhase
CZ USA has a couple of the CZUB mag wells for the TS in stock. http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19092_Aluminum-Magwell-Ts-Silver
kneelingatlas
Makes sense Mark, I've never seen the UB style in the flesh.
MarkMcArthur
The reloads are a little harder than the funnel CZC makes. But I like it.

Has anyone compared this to the large CZC mag well? The CZC is a but larger than I need and I think I would like a lighter option that doesn't compromise my weak hand grip as much. my00wrx1
Try the CZ European site for these parts.
MarkMcArthur
I ran both. Both are good. The CZC one reloads a lot slicker with 140mm basepads. The stock 17rd mags are a lot harder to load to. I still use them so I use the old style.
trgt
Here's a Czechmate with stock magwell, and a Tactical Sport with the CZ Custom magwell. I tried to line up the seam between slide and frame as much as I could to compare grip length and such. Edited February 2, 2014 by trgt
alma
How does the CM mag well look inside?
trgt
The Czechmate magwell has a funnel wall height of about .4" and is at a shallower/flatter angle than the CZ custom one. CZ Custom funnel wall height is about .6" and steeper angle/taller. In person it almost looks like CZ funnel is twice as tall, with the increased funnel wall height and steeper angle. Czhase
CZ USA has a couple of the CZUB mag wells for the TS in stock. http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19092_Aluminum-Magwell-Ts-Silver CZ USA failI ordered one of these because the picture showed the CZUB model. It arrived today and it is the CZ custom mag well. At least they were nice enough to charge me $10 more that CZC sells it for.

Now I am really glad I didn't jump on one of the other 3 that were in stock when I checked.
Czhase
Yeah, it gets better. As I examined it further it's not even for the TS, it's for the standard 75 frame. WTF
trgt
Are there any of the Europe retailers that are good to go to order stuff like this when they have stock and folks here don't, for grips and magwells and such?

BeerBaron
I kind of like the look of the CZUB/Czechmate magwell more than the CZC one. I could see the CZC one would possibly be easier to reload, but it's not eactly hard to reload with a magwell like the UB one... I just perfer the shape of the CZUB one. As you can see in the picture posted by trgt the internal fit between the Czechmates magwell and frame is not the best, I had edges of the frame smoothed over with a Dremel so the fit is better to reduce the changes of the mags hanging up on the frame. Feegee Dean Matlock
Does anyone know what kind of *thumb rest [generic]* would be best for czechmate or do they make one just for it?
