moto727
What oal is everyone running for the 115gr HAP? Current load is 5.2gr of autocomp. 1.140 shot great but had a couple jams with it.
Hi-Power Jack
Going to depend on Your gun/mag. Plunk test.
Pasley
I'm loading them at 1.085. This is in line with published data for the 115 grain XTP. I also computed the OAL to put the same amount of bullet in the case as 115 FMJ bullets and came up with about the same. This length is accurate and gives 100% function in my G17. DWFAN
What kind of gun and mags? What type of "jam" did you experience? Are you sure the jam is OAL related?

DWFAN
I would try longer if your barrel can take it. 1.160ish?
DougCarden
If your extractor is tuned properly you should be able, with mags with spacers, shoot OAL of 1.050 through 1.165 with no issue at all. That appears to be a minor load with Autocomp? You may need a lighter recoil spring....If the brass is dribbling out of the gun a lighter spring might be in order.... Pasley
If you load this bullet to an OAL of 1.165 there will only be .125 of the bullet in the case. Is that enough?
