ajg308
If anyone uses a single stage press you know it is a slow process. One of our local 3 gun shooters came up with an idea to speed up the process. Here is his website. http://rapidcasekicker.com/He made it for Rock Chucker presses. I have one and it is really cool, I think it cuts whatever your doing in half time wise. After looking at it and using it I also think it will work on many of the single stage presses provided the arm is on the side of the press. I have a hornady press that's not mounted at the moment. I may try it to satisfy my curiosity.
ZackJones
Oh I want one of those BAD! I sent him some feedback saying I wanted one for my Lee Press.
ajg308
I hate using my single stage, but this helps for sure.
ZackJones
I've exchanged several emails with him. Looking at the way the Lee is designed I don't think his current design will work. I would like to buy just the chute though.
wide45
I made myself a similar devise about 20 years ago. Did not use it for long. I prefer the one handed switch.
63expert
Here is the case kicker I made for myself. Should work for any single stage. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eGrRYOHvO2M

Thanks for posting the link. I'm going to try and make something like that today since it's raining here and I can't go shoot at the range. ZackJones
I got lucky today. I live in a neighborhood where they are doing new construction and I found about 4 feet of the wire they use on pallets. I was able to make a kicker and while it's not as cool looking a the rapid case kicker it works. I'll record a little video of my setup tomorrow. wide45
My version was like 63expert's, except I used a wire spring to power it. Simple is good.
Shadowrider
RCBS made one very similar in concept to 63expert's once upon a time. They used a bin and the bracket for it attached to the bench with a couple of wood screws. Why they quit making them I don't know. I had two RCBS Rockchucker Jr. presses setup with them. They worked great.

The one thing I did differently was to employ the original spent primer catcher. I think that once RCBS knew they were going to pursue the progressive press market they decided to axe the case kicker. That way the speed difference between single stage and progressive would be greater. Just my opinion though. Some more pics. ZackJones
One of the problems we Lee press users face is the way priming is done. There's an arm that stick out on the right side of the ram so I had to configure my kicker to eject to the right. I also came up with what I think is a nifty idea for catching the cases: an inverted milk jug . The case ejects into the milk jug and then I just unscrew the lid and drain the cases out. As is it can hold 50 loaded .45 ACP rounds. With much more than that it flexes a good but and some of the rounds miss the jug. It may not be pretty but it works!
