bigkyle72
So I just picked up a new barrel from Blackhole and I installed it and it all went together fine. I brought it out to the range, loaded a mag and when I dropped the bolt the bolt wouldn't close all the way. I extracted the round (which was pretty stuck in there) and the bullet was pushed back Into the case. I tried it again and same result. I then took the barrel out and placed a round in the barrel and I'm thinking it's def out of spec. Can I even adjust the headspace on an AR or should I just return it? kurtm
Yes anyone with a reamer can cut the chamber deeper, but you might guage it first. Just a dumb question but was this factory ammo...not remanufactured or reloaded? If indeed it is out of spec I would call Black hole and see what can be done, or if it will take too long you can just get it reamed.

TRUBL
Swab it out.....clean it up good......try putting a round in again. If at that point it does what the above pictures look like......and it's new barrel....call up Black Hole, I'm sure they will work with you and get a replacement out, whether you have to send yours back first all depends on how they do things. Seems to be short chambered for sure.....could have been a broken reamer on the barrel before that one or who knows......not there to look at it. Call the manufacturer for sure. Good company, may not answer the phone.....but I am sure that they will be getting back to you in short order. Tim
