I have an m&p pro 40s&w, 5". I want to shoot uspsa limited ten. ( limited ten because I live in california ). I have a lot of titegroup and some berrys 180gr bullets. I was planning on starting out with 4.5gr of TG, 1.140 oal, and .421 crimp. Anyone have experience with this combo of gun, powder, and bullet that can give me some help/advice.

After I load and shoot the 250 berrys 180gr I will be ordering bayou 180gr. I use Bayou bullets for 9mm, 38, and it will make it easy to order if I use them for 40 as well. I am assuming that the Berrys and Bayou 180gr will shoot very close to the same.

I have the apex aek kit in the gun. Will it work with cci primers or should I stay with my depleting supply of federal primers.

I shoot an STI edge so my coal is a little longer. I shoot 4.6 grains of Titegroup, 180 grain Berry's and a coal of 1.20". This loads shoots very well for me and measures at 935fps at 50 degrees.

I think 4.4 grains or 4.5 grains would be great at your shorter coal. I would load some of each and test them through the chrono. I don't have any experience with Bayou bullets, only Berry's, but I would assume they would shoot very close to the same.

In my G35, I got 169pf using 4.0g TG and 180g Bayou Bullets (1.135) using a KKM barrel. I tried using some Ranier plated in loads, and I consistently got about 50fps less velocity for a given powder charge in the major range.

Same experience here... although it was about 25fps in a Glock 22. Anyway, same experience: Bayou is a "bit" faster than plated (i was using Berry's plated vs Bayou)
