Atlgentlegiant
See everyone at the range. I cannot help with setup this year but I am shooting Thursday and working Friday and Saturday. The match is shaping up to be one of the best ever. Don't forget to bring your rain gear as it looks like a good chance of rain Thurs and Fri. deerassassin22
So I was looking at Stage 6 Hang 'em High and I'm wondering how are you going to hold the noose and shoot?
DrawandDuck
Hold the rope with your weak hand and shoot with your strong hand....or vice versa if your feeling froggy. OR the noose might be large enough to go over your head.......
boudreux
I'm thinking that pulling the noose will open the ports and they will stay open.... if not, I don't look forward to shooting a texas star one handed
a matt
Looks like the doors open upward, that means might be enough weight to close them when we release the noose ? Just saying.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: It does not say to use weak or strong hand at all. It says noose opens the ports. You choose how you want them to open and stay open. Good stage design. Thanks, Eric
ktm300
6 is going to be an interesting stage. I assume that you will have to find a way to hold on to the noose while you shoot. So for 10 round guns it is probably grab it, shoot some steel strong hand, drop it, reload, grab it, shoot some steel and a start strong hand, drop it , reload, grab it, shoot some paper strong hand. 9 is causing me some heart palpitations. Multiple 8 round arrays in a 38 round COF. Looks like you will need 9 mags if you don't want to do any standing reloads.
deerassassin22
Nothing wrong with the designs on stages just going to be interesting. I think reloading in the tunnel is going to be a fun event. Also to see how people deal with the noose on that stage
ktm300
Looks to me like Single Stack (major) is the only division that should have to reload in the tunnel.

ron169
Hey guys, this is my first major, do have a quick question. Everyone keeps talking about a match book. What exactly is it? Is it needed? And why is it not available for download?

ktm300
Because the MD or whom ever has dropped the ball. Lol. If you have any questions you can ask here, we will help you out. The stages have been posted for a while. Information has been flowing for months. There are at least 6 copy of the links in this thread. There is probably not going to be a match book as who needs it when all the information is a click away. http://www.gastatechampionships.com/ Or the clubs facebook page Cherokee USPSA Google is your buddy! (or not but is sure is useful)

a matt
If we don't have a match book then maybe change the the website? Im figuring squad 12,22,32 & 42 start on 2 and so on. And if you squad on ?6, is it chrono or stage 6. I think any new to this match shooter would want a match book just for the matrix on starting stage and so on. I've been coming for years so I'll figure it out. Thanks all.
