spencerhut
My wife has a Para SSP (stainless .38 Super) and a SSP-SE1 (carbon .45ACP.). She simply loves the guns and I must admit the SSP-SE1 is a damn fine shooter. The SSP-SE1 was a "Painted Ordnance" gun and I ended up parkerizing after giving Para three (3) tries at refinishing it. I've replaced many substandard (plastic and MIM) parts in both guns and then I got to the sights . . . The sights were MIM, poor quality MIM, and have a non standard cut. Since one of the sights said Novak on it I called them and asked them what they could do. Nothing with the stock Para sight cuts it turns out. After several phone calls Novak reluctantly agreed to weld and recut the slides for proper sights. They did a fantastic job and both guns came out as well as anyone could wish. My wife has her guns back with proper sights she can use and depend on. Edited January 19, 2014 by spencerhut
