Factory Refurbs and Blems - info and availability

Recommended Posts

For reference, should some dude ever come up to you in a dark alley with a trenchcoat full of case gauges, Shockbottle Blems and Refurb case gauges are marked as follows:

Refurbs are stamped next to the caliber with an 'R' for Refurbished. There may be re-reaming marks in the check holes and these may have come back from a customer. The check holes are full factory-spec otherwise.

Blems have factory cosmetic issues that don't affect function and never went to a customer. Generally this is minor scratches or dings on the exterior surfaces or anodizing smut. The inside of the holes should be factory-new. They are stamped with a 'B' next to the caliber.

If we have any for sale, I'll post 'em in this thread.

Also, every gauge is tested with real ammo before shipping, so even new gauges can have very minor handling marks-- finger smudges and the like. They'll wash off, or your first use will cover them up with your own set.

Quick update.  I'm not able to keep up with current status here, so best drop a line if you're interested in something.

Also, Blems and Refurbs now mostly have a spiffy lasered datamatrix code and B/R letter by the caliber to indicate the status.

What we have in the way of Blems and refurbs and one-of-a-kind type things (as well as case gauges at full MSRP if you just have some extra $ you don't want) will be posted on the Shop Outlet site-- https://www.shockbottle.com/shop
