AJE
Long story short is I have Safariland duty belt and holsters and I bought a Safariland 5197 holster to use for USPSA production. I bought the quick connect clips for the holsters so it is a similar draw and position to my other holster. The clip adds some distance between the belt and the gun and I want to make sure it's not too close. I realize that there is an exemption for level one matches and duty gear but I wanted to make sure this would fly without that exemption. Hooking the tape on the inside of the belt to the gun, as you can see, is about 1 7/8". If you push the tape around or play with the angle you could make it look like just over 2" as well. Thanks in advance. Edited January 16, 2014 by AJE
kmca
Since you're that close, better measure with the belt on. Most of my rigs, tilt the gun away, so I made a standoff to keep the gun parallel to my leg.

kmca
Just put a little washer on the bottom attaching screws and stop worrying. Now, that's just too easy. Why do that when you could spend hours making something much more complex
