ans3288
hi guys. I am spraying dillon case lube on my cases to make reloader run smoother. I noticed with dillon case lube I have a bit of sooty film on the case after resizing, without case lube its shinny.any comnents why this happens? dsa
I found that I was getting the same thing. In areas with fine dirt it was attracting the dirt on dropped mags. I started cleaning my dies a little more frequently and it got better. I switched to Hornandy One-Shot and the haze went away.

GuildSF4
I use Hornady One shot on straight wall cases, Dillon lube on bottle neck cases.

ltdmstr
One shot leaves a residue as well. You can tumble the loaded ammo for a few minutes in corn cob to clean them up. Doesn't hurt anything.

Doesn't hurt anything. +1 I LOVE one shot, and wouldnt want to load without it, but it will most certianly leave a residue. On the dies and on the brass. Also, If I lube cases and leave the laying around for several days, they become dull looking... Not so if no lube is applied. However, like ltdmstr said, just chunk them in a tumbler for 15 min and they will look like new. Or sometimes I just dump about 100 at a time into an old t-shirt and rub them around for a minute. All the residue/haze wipes off.

Bob DuBois
Chunk the loaded rounds back in the tumbler with some corn cob media and a little polish for about thirty min.
