TacSol 2211 Conversion on STI 1911 Frame Mag?

Anyone using a Tactical Solutions 2211 conversion on their 1911? If so, are there any magazine alternatives or are you stuck with the $80+ TacSol's?

For single stack mags use the GSG/ Sig mags and the Shock Bottle followers and base pads. Holds 16 and you can do a mag change. You still end up with around $54 in each mag. These work well on Marvel uppers.

I have 3 of their 2211 conversions, and 8 magazines, mainly for Steel Challenge. I've never tried using a different mag with the conversion. The mags can hold up to 12 rounds, but it is advisiable not to cram that many rounds in, unless it's just plinking.

All I will be using this for is steel challenge. Just wanted something to shoot besides my limited STI/Caspian. Was hoping someone made an alternative mag but it appears, from your comment, I should stick with what they make.

A number people have had success with Kimber and other less-costly mags. You can try one for about 25% of the cost of a TS mag.
