JayCB
Hi everyone, Merry Christmas, Newbie from Mass here. Found this forum doing reloading research, going to purchase a Dillon 650 from Brian later today as we have had difficulty purchasing ammo in this area and its cheaper to reload (it's an added bonus someday after initial hit of purchase). We also have 6 shooters in one house so it only makes sense to do this plus I can reload for close friends. Lots of great info here so I figured I would be better off joining instead of sitting on side lines. Thanks Jay
Mpie427
You cannot go wrong with the 650 or ordering from Brian...i got mine last November and it has paid for itself already. Plus it was free shipping! I only load 9 and 45. Mike

BillChunn
Reloading is a skill and you have to approach it as such. If possible have someone that has a 650 help you set up yours. When you start out, go slow. Don't get distracted. If something doesn't feel / sound / seem right.... STOP! With 6 shooters in the house, the press will pay for itself in a very few months. Welcome!! blind bat
Hi Jay. Harvard Sportsmen (Harvard, MA) offers reloading classes from time to time. Also, there are a lot of helpful, local folks on NortheastShooters.com. Hope to see you on the range.
JayCB
Thanks all, Have not ordered yet......looks like the 650 wont reload .284 but does everthing else I have am I correct in thinking that? Items to reload are 9, 357, 38, 40, 45, 270, 284, 30-30, 6.5x55, 308, 7.62x39. I do have an RCBS turret that was given to me but no accessories yet so figured I could use that for the 284. Thoughts. Blind Bat thanks for the tip on Harvard, I actually dont know anyone in area that reloads right now, hoping I can hook up with someone in this forum. The mechanics of the press or the process dont bother me and wife says I'm anal.....I say particular........shes like Annie Oakley unbelievable shooter even with a right handed gun she shoots leftie......5 shots in 1" group with my 270 at 100 yards all around and in X - shells ejecting in front of her face, does the same with her right hand 45 black powder.....just does not flinch, I better never piss her off.
