oddjob
Just cleaned it and noticed about a four inch area on the magazine tube that was darkned. Didn't look like carbon build up. Is this normal?? Question #2: Besides the bolt area where else does one lube the thing??
Meathead
I have the same thing on mine. I've only cleaned it twice in the 14 months I've had it, so I don't know that I'm an expert. I seem to different than most of the guys I shoot with, in that, I lube anywhere there is moving metal to metal contact.
BillL223
Yes, this is normal carbon build-up from escaping gas. This should be cleaned off about every 250 rds. I use a little Scotch-Brite with solvent.
Bronco
Mine is the same as mentioned, when cleaning its very simple to drop the trigger group ( two push pins ) and give it a good cleaning blow it out with air and drop a little of your favorite lube on the moving parts. Mind the trigger spring as it is easy to dislodge from its keeper. A clean gun is a happy gun.
