bluedevil008
I am looking to add serrations to the front of two Glock slides, but I do not want to pay to ship it off and have it professionally done. After doing some filing on my shotgun, it got me wondering if I could apply the same tools to making slide serrations. Has anyone every tried this? Is the slide much harder than a steel shotgun receiver? Any pictures? I would plan on getting it cerakoted after filing it down to cover back up the exposed metal. dee loo
Should work if you use diamond files. A regular file won't work, the tennifer treatment under the teflon finish makes the slide harder than a regular file.

bluedevil008
OMG... don't do it! I'm the kind of guy that goes for functionality over look, so if it ends up working, don't really care how unprofessional it is. Thanks guys.

Kraj
I guess it could work, are you planning on refinishing it after? Make sure you dont mess up the bottom where the rails are.
