Removing stag 3g factory comp

I have been searching to find if anyone has any information on removing the muzzle break that comes on the stag 3g rifle. I have tried to remove it with a wrench using just a little force with no luck. Is it pinned and going to have to be cut off or do I need to get it in a vise and use a little more force?

Did you try heat? Heat is your best friend when trying to remove any metal on metal....

I have not tried any heat yet.

Remove handguard,

Use these mounted in a strong vice. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/608967/dpms-barrel-vise-jaws-ar-15-aluminum

Preferable between the muzzle and the gas block.

Use wrench and turn counterclockwise.

Unless the barrel is less than 16", it is doubtful that the muzzle device is pinned.

Well I took my 3g to a smith and after clamping it in a vise the stock comp came right off with ease. Installed a jm break going to try it out tomorrow. Thanks

Shot my stag 3g today with jm comp. WOW what a difference. No movement at all. VERY LOUD at indoor range though:) cant wait for 3gun to start back up here in Ohio.
