Tubguy
I want to start the transition into 1911. I thought getting an airsoft would help with the transition, with the safeties and sighting. I bought a Blackwater 1911 Full metal gun with blow back. 3 white dots for sights. At about 5 yards it shoots high about 2 inches. I am not going to shoot bullseye but USPSA. Is this normal accuracy? Are there some 1911's, in airsoft, more accurate then others?
Flatland Shooter
Does this model have the adjustable "hop up"? Messing with the settings on my Western Arms 2011 affects the point of impact. As for accuracy, I shoot at 3" x 3' steel plates at 8 yards with no problems. Flatland Shooter
what is hop up? I'm brand new to airsoft. bought gun 6 hours ago On my airsoft guns, its a small screw located just below the chamber on the feed ramp. It appears to move the feed ramp ever so slightly up or down. From the owners manual, "The adjustable Hop up system can make the trajectory of BB bullets slightly adjustable, and compared wit the launcher which makes bullets moving at a parbola trajectory, it can aim aim at a farther target and shoot the bullets for a long range." One gun uses a small allen wrench to adjust. The other uses a small flat blade screwdriver. Bill
GuildSF4
Hop up is the spin imparted to the BB, the adjustment affects the amount of spin on mine by adjusting how much the BB touches a peice of felt on firing the gun.
