When I shot single stack my thumbs were higher. had to learn how to keep them down. Never noticed a difference between the two. He is the only one in my "opinion" that has a correct grip :-) Yeah that guy in the first pics clearly has no idea what he is doing LOL!! I wonder if his dad taught him that grip? I assume all four are top level shooters but yet all four have different grips, if your better with the thumbs up grip go for it, if your better with the thumbs foward grip go for it.
