Rockclimbg
I would like to get a thin (.100) Dawson Front sight, however, does that mean I'd have to switch out my rear sight as well? I currently have Meprolight Night Sights. If I do, what rear sight would be compatable with the Dawson's Front Sight? P.S. The gun is a Glock 35 with meps. Thanks. scooterj
There are quite a few Glocks running Dawson FO front with Heinie Slant Pro rear. POI is dead on with my 34 set up that way.
Mark Perez
I may be mistaken , but I thought Dawson offered different heights of FS's to go with different rear sights. Give them a call to be sure . Mark

underlug
Anyone know which front would go with the stock Glock 34 rear? I emailed them, but, they haven't responded..
shred
They can be slow with e-mail... If you're in a reasonable time-zone, it's usually best to call. They like people to call.

mitommy
From their web site: Available in three sizes: NOVAK- blade is .125" wide and .160" tall, and works best with the Glock factory rear sight or a Novak's rear sight ; HEINIE- blade is either .105" or .125" wide and .225" tall, and works best with a Heinie rear sight; BO-MAR- blade is either .100" or .125" wide and .285" tall, and works best with a Bo-Mar rear sight. It looks like to stay with the factory rear you'll use the "Novak - .125 wide by .160 tall front blade.
underlug
Thanks. I missed the part about works best with factory sight, but, that really didn't expressly address my question about the Glock 34 which has a little extra barrel length. So, I called them today to see what sight would fit best and the above was the eventual correct answer. I ordered the one they recommended for the 34, in .100 width. They callled me back later with the bad news that the sight that fit only came in .
mitommy
All the sights "fit." The width & height are different based on what you are using for the rear sight. (because of the height and width of the notch)
Malfunction
I put the whole Dawson set on my G34 with an optic front .100, very easy to install ( don't forget the loctite ) great setup. I like the sight picture. If you don't like the optic just use a permanent marker. One complaint, the corners of the sights are too sharp, they will catch on clothing etc. Bill
