Tman33_99
Assuming you have your USPSA membership number, it takes 4 classifiers to get an intial classification. These are usually updated to the USPSA website around the 2nd week of the month. Most local matches have at least one classifier, so if you shoot 4 matches before the end of may, you should have a classifcation by Area 8 in late June. If you are not classified you should still be able to shoot, but you will show up as "U" (unclassified) and will be going against the GMs. Hope this helps Travis

Keep in mind that Old Bridge (except for December, where the fourth Sunday usually falls betwen Xmas and New Years) and Central Jersey shoot year round --- weather permitting. No sissy layoffs in the uary months for us..... CJ is loosely planning a four classifier special for April, 05......
.40AET
Rich- Check with all of the clubs that you might shoot at. Many will host a "special" match in the spring with 4 classifiers so that a new shooter can get a classification right out of the gate.
Rob Boudrie
It's also worth checking to make sure the club you shoot at is sending in their classifiers promptly. If they use on-line classifier submission you can check by selecting "additional content" at the USPSA web site, followed by "Classifier and match uploading", at which point the left menu will contain a button labeled "Status of uploaded classifiers." All classifiers received and paid by the 10th of the month will be included on that that month's update. If a classifier is awaiting processing, you can see if the fee has been paid (and paid status is updated in real time if the club pays on-line via credit card).
