Artsville
Hey guys.....i'm about to start 3gun. I already shoot IPSC. I have a question on which choke most are using and why? Also can slugs be shot thru any size choke other than full? Same questions for buckshot? thanks........
Therealkoop
I have a cyl bore, lt mod, and full choke for my Versamax. If a stage is nothing but clays and I feel like it I might switch to open bore. Ive never used the full. Lt Mod seems to cover me for just about everything and has a little more authority on plates than the cyl bore.
Jadeslade
IC, lt mod, MOD. DEPENDS ON HOW FAR THE BUCKSHOT IS AND IF ITS A MOVER. IC OR LT MOD. SLUGS WORK FINE IN THOSE CHOKES. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE PATTERNS AT 10, 20, 30 yds Slugs should hit where you aim to 50. Some matches have become so dumb that a pistol grip Mossberg would work, because they have no no shoots, and there's only 9 or 10 targets. Berretta optima hp or Benelli Mobil From Briley. Get extended chokes. Edited November 3, 2013 by Jadeslade

The link doesn't work well on mobile, but anything labeled Optima HP works with the 1301. My Comp came with an IC, which so far I've been happy with. EvaninMS
Make sure you buy the EXTENDED Optima HP chokes. If you haven't already, you'll end up putting a mag extension on there. Once you do, getting the flush mounts in and out becomes a pain. They are a little more expensive, but not by much.
