Can't eject CD

Mac Pro Tower - 10.6.8.

I put in a CD with some Acrobat files on it. (The files won't open with an error message.)

Now I can't get the CD out of the machine with any of the normal methods, including ejecting it from Dik Utility. Any attempt to eject the CD locks up the machine, requiring a hard shutdown (holding in the power button).

At this point, it feels like I may have to disassemble the machine to get it out.

Any ideas?

Single user mode to eject the CD, perhaps?

I'm guessing it does not have the paperclip hole ?

Got the SOB. Holding down the (left) mouse during startup got it out.

I found a Terminal command to eject the CD, that didn't work:

That link also has a Single User mode command to eject it, but tried the mouse down move before trying the Terminal command.

And yea, I miss that little paperclip hole!

Whatever you do don't try to do any surgery on an iMac. It's not for the faint of heart.

It's a mac pro tower, designed to be opened up and screwed with.
