breakingcontact
Yes, I know these are just fancied up express models, but I don't see them for sale hardly at all on gunbroker or gun shows/shops. Are they producing less than they once did or only doing custom work? Learn me!

Bryan 45
maybe people are realizing an $800 Remington 870 is still just a pump gun.
skatz11
Limited market and big improvements in ammo. It's amazing that flight control buckshot and true ball slugs will so with a stock rem 870 or mossy 590.
Sgtsvi
I think everyone hit the nail on the head. WC charges $1540 for an 870 that has a surefire forend, new magazine spring, extended safety button, and a duracoat finish. I think most of the shooters on this thread are capable of duplicating this work at home for a lot less money. Tying up $1500 in a home defense shotgun is beyond understanding for me. These shotguns don't make many trips to the range and you can't hunt with them so they sit in a corner of the bedroom and have 150-200 rounds fired in their lifetime. That is unless you go spend more money for one of those high speed, low drag tactical schools for a shotgun course.

Jesse Tischauser
Who cares? Why even bother with such a throw away comment? Thanks for the more appropriate replies. The comment was relevant for a competition forum when asking about a tactical oriented shotgun. You should have posted this question on M4carbine.net or arfcom. Or just asked why doesn't anyone use a Wilson combat shotgun for 3 gun. To which we would have all replied something similar to Mr. Teel's comment about.
