greatlakes08
I have sweaty hands naturally and during competition they get even worse. I have tried grip tape but even then the gun slips in my hands as I shoot even if I squeeze as tight as I can. Are gloves a good idea or is there a reason most people don't use them? buckaroo45
I have a severe neuropathy of the hands. Can't tell how tight I'm gripping the gun + they feel slick so I use golf gloves on both hands, synthetic NOT leather as they are tackier. I recommend cutting off the trigger finger portion of the glove at the second joint otherwise it tries to hang up on the trigger guard. Works for me. Steve_P
Have you tried pro grip lotion? Works great to dry out your hands and give a little grip right before a stage. Also a baseball rosin bag works well too. Good luck Steve
bigfish
I use a grip lotion. The stuff that I use is actually meant for tennis players but works good for shooting games. It keeps my hand pretty dry.
Retread1911
I wear a golf glove on my weak hand and use talc on my strong hand. The talcum powder allows for easier adjustment during draws and the glove allows a solid grip on the gun. Friends laughing. Sure there is always good natured ribbing but that is always better than the sad looks after a DQ for dropping a loaded gun. Give the golf glove a try on your weak hand and let us know what you think. Retread.
DDustin
I have the opposite problem. My hands get too dry and it makes the gun slip. I use PIG gloves from SKD. They have a lot of flex and dexterity and are pretty decently priced.
Reshoot
I do, on occasion, dig the Pistol Pro Grip out of my range bag. It does "seal" the palms, and washes off with soap and water.
ChuckS
Greatlakes, Welcome to the forum! The last time we talked about this: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=155709&p=1741988 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=153230&p=1716765 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=132403&p=1490714 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=122601&p=1385468 The search function is your friend. I found these by using advanced search and searched titles only for gloves. Later, Chuck
greatlakes08
Thanks for all of the recommendations. I will most likely give the golf gloves a try and cut off the trigger finger. I also have some very thin mechanics gloves laying around I can cut off the finger off I might try first.
billy396
I have/had a great pair of shooting gloves. Unfortunately, when I bought my new place almost 4 years ago, they got misplaced during the move. I've been looking for a replacement pair, but for some reason I can't find any. These were regular fingerless shooting gloves with padded palms and with fingers cut out, but I can't seem to find them anymore. If anyone knows of a good source for shooting gloves, I'm all ears. Thanks to all.
