schoonie
Rule 9.11.1 states that the scoring program is to be Match Scoring System (MSS) and Windows Match Scoring Sytstem (WinMSS). What about EzWinScore????
wgnoyes
Allow me to use the considerable cut/paste capabilities of the new .pdf rulebook.... 9.11.1 The scoring programs approved by IPSC are the Match Scoring System (MSS) and Windows® Match Scoring System (WinMSS). No other scoring program must be used for any IPSC sanctioned match without the prior written approval of the Regional Director of the host Region. (Emphasis added.) In the case of MSS and WinMSS the most recent versions of the scoring programs available from the IPSC website are to be used. The regional director (Michael Voigt) of the host Region (USPSA) has declared that ezwinscore is an approved scoring program. ...Otherwise THIS stats officer would be taking down his shingle! schoonie
I'm with you Bill, I'm just surprised that the acknowledgement wasn't included in the new rule book.
38supPat
Its the scoring program for only 1 region, all others use the two listed.
wgnoyes
Well, it's the IPSC rulebook, the MSS's are their official scoring programs, so of course they should list them. It is interesting, though, as they officially don't support the DOS program anymore that it would still be listed in the rulebook. I probably would have added a US9.11.1 listing ezws just to eliminate confusion such as this, but that's just me.
