XL650 loading 300 Blackout - Lee factory crimp die adjustment.

Recommended Posts

After several attempts I am still unable to get the Lee factory crimp die adjusted down into the tool head far enough to crimp the round.

The only way to get a decent crimp is to remove the lock nut from the top of the FCD so I can screw it down further into the tool head.

Is it possible to use the lock nut on the under-neath side ( on the underside of the tool head) to lock the die down ?

Thanks in advanced.

Gregg

Take off the lee lock nut and use one of the gold Dillon lock rings. It will allow you to screw it down further. I use the resizing/decapping die, bullet seating and factory crimp die on my Xl650
