Justjohn3 Posted June 3, 2013 Share Posted June 3, 2013 Has anyone found that the M&P slide serrations are too sharp and they're getting cut by them? I got a big divot chunked out of my weak hand index finger while power-stroking the slide from slide lock. I don't really see any particular spot that crazy sharp, but it got me to wondering if others have gotten cut by them and if anyone had gotten the serrations melted a little to soften the sharp edges? Justjohn3 Posted June 6, 2013 Author Share Posted June 6, 2013 I guess my finger was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I looked all over the serrations with a 10x magnifier and couldn't find the culprit. I gave serious thought to remachining the serrations to a straight line serration like a 1911 has, but I think I'll wait for it to happen again before I do it. bthoefer Posted June 9, 2013 Share Posted June 9, 2013 I used to have this happen when I first started shooting the m&p. I was wrapping my fingers all the way around the bottom of the slide.
