jlo86cj
I use a Maxpedition Pigmy Falcon and have no complaints. I have been wanting to get a close look at the Ernie Hill one though.
terrydoc
Saw this one at the SHOT Show. Very nice quality pack. http://www.goutdoorsproducts.com/products/tactical-range-backpack/ I got the handgun version doesn't have the pistol bags and the gun compartment is front opening like the DAA packhttp://www.goutdoorsproducts.com/products/the-handgunner-backpack/ Is the compartment that houses the foam pistol craddle hard sided? Would/will the bag stay erect with the foam removed and weight loaded in the compartments above? yes i don't use the cradle and it won't collapse, I purchased 2 of the soft pistol cases that come with the 'tactical'version and use them as my non pelican case is a bit too big unfortunately Edited October 12, 2015 by terrydoc

I really like it. I was previously using a Midway range bag which is pretty large and I have a lot of junk in there, was able to fit everything into the GPS backpack and the backpack is much easier to carry around a match than the Midway bag. My only complaint is that there's no pouch for a water bottle which is really annoying. I've just been throwing a water bottle in the bottom compartment and today at a match it leaked a good bit I also immediately upon receiving the bag took that foam cradle thing out and tossed it somewhere in the back of a closet never to be seen again. It takes up too much space. I just use gun rugs to hold however many handguns I'm bringing that day and can then also fit other stuff in that bottom compartment along with the handguns. The bag is very sturdy, I can have the bottom compartment completely empty and 500 rounds in the top compartment and it won't collapse at all. Nathanb
I've got the Oakley chamber range bag. I bought it for the backpack part and that it was billed as a range bag. It doesn't hold nearly enough stuff for me to call it match ready. I bring ten mags and there isn't enough space to store them nearly. After one match I went back to my midway range bag. Just in case anyone was considering it. Great backpack but not a great range bag
