Dillon XL650 or 1050 for 223/9mm

Recommended Posts

So I have a 650 with tool heads for 9mm, 40 and 45 which I love. I was thinking about a 1050 to do 9mm and 223 especially because of the swager. I don't run into a lot of crimped brass but there are some. Should I just invest in the 1050 or get another 650?

my $.02? if you can afford the significant cost difference between a 1050 and a 650 then go ahead and buy the 1050, you certainly won't be disappointed as long as you can afford the extra cost.

Granted its a lot more $$ but in my opinion, priming on the downstroke and the built in swaging station are worth it.

I pulled the trigger on a 1050 in 9mm and 223 conversion. Also order a RF100 primer filler. Can't wait.

You are about to learn a very valuable lesson about waiting!!!!!! :goof:

It will be worth it!!!!!

Oh yeah, I was lucky when I ordered my 650 cause it only took 5 weeks and 2 days. I ended up ordering about 4k worth of stuff yesterday all together so hopefully it'll trickle in. Haha
