Open gun technique for SC

When shooting with a dot for rimfire division, do you look at the first target before the buzzer and bring the gun up to your vision plane? I guess that makes sense :/ I've seen people shooting with a dot look at the marker then snap eyes to first target. They had pretty good times but I'm not sure which is correct so to speak. I guess I answered my own question when thinking about drawing from a holster. Look at the first target LOL
