RadarTech
Hey folks, I was perusing the never told a lie Internet and ran across a post that made me investigate/think about the Alliant BE-86 powder.. Has anyone tried it? Ever seen it ? http://www.alliantpowder.com/products/powder/be-86.aspx All the normal places don't even list it.. and I found NO burn charts with it in it.. Even Alliant's own website did not list it in the recipes... So I throw it out there.... what do yall think about it? Later! J
Steve RA
Try "Search" as there were several posts about that powder in the last few days.
gng4life
Hey Jim, how's it going? Here is a good post about it, #14 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=174144&hl=%2Bbe86#entry1925964
rhyrlik
It's not a good post because it contains erroneous info. Bullseye 86 is a new powder. It is not Power Pistol.
RadarTech
Thanks for the search info.. I didn't catch that... I emailed Alliant and they said it is not shipping yet... And gave no indication of a time frame....
noylj
There are many non-canister powders that are BE-##. All have been for factory loading up to now. I recently saw a list of these non-canister powders. Think it was SAAMI. There are quite a number of BE-## powders, covering a wide range of burn rates. Could BE-86 NOT be a new powder, but a powder that used in all/most of the .40S&W cartridges Big Sis is buying and they have LOTS of it that they can package and ship out the door right now to help meet the demand? They might even be drowning in it right now.
